Well, with the hockey season underway, I have to make a few comments on some games. I was proud of my team for getting into one fight already -- in game 2. And I had to check out how many fights have gone on this season. Come to find out, my team's not anywhere near the top.

According to one of my favourite sites, hockeyfights.com, the Devils have 5. All of those, by the way, happened in one game. Then again, since my team (the Wild) managed to dump pretty much every tough guy we had on the roster, it shouldn't be too surprising. Congratulations to Pavel Datsyuk, though, for the Gordie Howe hat trick. Gotta love a talented guy who doesn't mind tossing down the gloves every so often.

And We Begin

My sister dropped her kids off at school and then popped over to visit. I was listening to a hockey game going on in Finland and making an inane comment regarding my totally bizarre Venus FlyTrap plant and its budding flower and she said I should start a blog.

I have odd plants. My plants are not like normal people's houseplants. Actually, that's not true; from what I understand, my zebra cactus is perfectly normal. That just leaves the other strange 15 plants. At any rate, I'd love to chat about them. I also love chatting about cooking, hockey, American football, basketball, books, movies, and even the weather.
